wow… the making of the buttercream was brutal… i feel bad for it. you should have waited for the butter to soften and not just make a mess. an if you didn’t have a whisk, you could have used a fork, not a spoon. try again girls!! u can make better cakes!!

the cake wasn’t supposed to have a crack in the center, was it? I use sour cream, buttermilk and nutritional yeast and chocolate (with a splash lime/orange extract/juice,kaluah or amaretto) butter frosting.

Hi! the best thing to make a butter frosting is to beat the butter first until it becomes softened and then you can add the powder sugar one cup at a time and beat alternately with the milk and beat more until it become smooth. But your a good baker anyway and like and enjoyed watching your video.
